Participating in Bristol with a Hip-Hop legend

Keith Mckenzie • October 28, 2025

Insight, participation and listening around the team with a Hip-Hop legend

I was invited to attend and participate in the live concert of the Hip-Hop legends Lord Finesse.

This was part of the 35th Anniversary of the album "Funky Technician" with live mixes from DJ Boggie Blind. Finesse went through his music journey of his key selection from his albums past & present.

Also he pays homage to other Hip-Hop legends who are no longer with us. In addition a number of live turnable sessions by DJ Boggie Blind.

As part of the build up the resident DJ linked with Bristol's Hip-Hop event "Sip the Juice" was in the mix for over 2 hours.

The night was a top quality of higher standards and it was great to see mahy hip-hop music lovers attending from different generations.

Participation

I supported my friend Pritt Kalsi to assist filming the Lord Finesse using his professional filming equipment.

Before the event

Myself and Pritt Kalsi have the honour to spend time with Lord Finesse and his team for a sound check rehearsal and to spend quality time with the crew. I have learned a lot about their insight on ambition, opportunities and the importance of not being taken advantage of.

Finally
Special thanks for Lord Finesse for making me and Pritt very welcome and for enable to spend time with them throughout the day in Bristol.
