Birmingham Fashion Week 2025 launch night & art gallery

Keith Mckenzie • October 28, 2025

This article contains my experience of the opening party of the Birmingham Fashion week including an art show

This was my first ever experience visiting an event focusing on fashion and style.

With my background of creativity and awareness I wanted to connect with communities which I am not usually familiar with.

An event which gives an opportunity to network and connect with creative people related to the Fashion in the region and beyond.

Local designers, stylists and university students provide different examples of styles worn by a family of models throughout the event.

Art Exhibition
In addition an exhibition of illustration, photography and visual art was displayed. This includes aspects of clothing while others focus on visual stylistic interpretation of portraits, locations music and many more.

Networking

I have the opportunity to meet and network with a variety of people involved with the event or who is attending. I didn't know what to expect but I felt extremely welcome I was very interested in my environment with my background in creativity. awareness and dance.

Inspiring Models

One aspect that I was very pleased about is meeting with several models who are neurodivergent individuals and with invisible disabilities. Some were part of the Fashion week while some were attending to showing their support.

My Conclusion
Over the years I have attended events related to understanding design marketing transport health and diversity. This event was stepping out of my comfort zone.
Attending this event was worth the visit and I will consider visiting similar events related to Fashion in the future

Special thanks to the event organisers and to everyone involve for a great event and to make me extremely welcome throughout.
